Superfoods are foods that are nutritionally dense, containing lots of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Antioxidants are thought to ward off cancer and other diseases by reducing oxidative stress on the body. Oxidative stress occurs when there is an excess of free radicals in the body, associated with human disease.

Cacao Nibs and Dark Chocolate are high in flavonoids, which are a trusted source of antioxidants, prevent coronary heart disease and certain types of cancer, and boost the immune system. The component in chocolate specifically responsible for these benefits is cacao powder. 

Goldenberries are native to the Andean Mountains in South America. They're packed with carotenoids, which are antioxidants that can prevent cell damage and improve your cardiovascular system. Goldenberries are a source of vitamins and fiber; the fruit has high vitamin C and A content and contains low amounts of sugar.

Remmember that the key to a healthy diet is to consume a variety of nutritious foods in the right quantities. Thus, consuming foods that are packed with nutrients is certainly a good idea!
